They Go to Die opening night on 19th October

They Go to Die previews on Saturday 19th October at Unit 1 @ The Great Central, Leicester from 6pm-9pm. The exhibition will run until Saturday 26th October.

They Go To Die is a charity exhibition and screening that illustrates the climbing number of TB victims amongst miners in Southern Africa.

Yale epidemiologist Jonathan Smith produced ‘They Go To Die’. The film follows the stories of miners sent home from the mines with no continuity of treatment and with no access to care…..men who were literally sent home to die. The film will be screened alongside the exhibition at 7:00pm, followed by a Q&A session with Felix Jakens from RESULTS UK.

Artists have made responses to the film in a variety of mediums including painting, digital art, photography, music poetry and print.
